Now I am getting a little worried. we need to generate power from renewable sources but environmental groups tend to say no to everything - wind , nuclear (OK I know it is not renewable but it is probably low carbon), hydro, tidal, and newer lower carbon gas power stations.

With a little effort we can reduce our energy use at home. Energy efficient light bulbs, a degree lower on the heating, switching off the odd stand-by appliance will all help. But will this save energy? Why not I hear you cry! Well what will you do with the money you save? A drive to the shops, a meal out for two, or a vacation away from home?

Actions are required to reduce high and rising concentrations of emissions of CO2, methane and nitrous oxide in the atmosphere. Britain should lead the world in both action and getting all the parties together. We have been at the forefront of chnage before and we must do it again
